(Forum Teologi Jumatan)
The Friday Theology Forum is a regular conversation space hosted by PAC Menteng for thoughtful reflection on theology, philosophy, and the realities of daily life in the city. This forum was created from the conviction that faith grows not only through worship, but also through honest thinking, dialogue, and shared reflection. Participants gather to explore questions that shape human life—questions about God, meaning, suffering, hope, and the complexities of living in a modern urban world. One distinctive feature of the Friday Theology Forum is that it welcomes lay participants to present their reflections or papers, accompanied and guided by theologians, clergy, and academics. In this way, the forum becomes a place where learning is shared, conversation is encouraged, and the wisdom of the wider community can emerge. The atmosphere of the forum is warm, open, and joyful, yet intellectually serious. Conversations often engage with the deeper questions of life: death, love, depression, historical wounds, social injustice, and the profound doubts that many people carry in their hearts. Through these conversations, the Friday Theology Forum hopes to nurture a community where faith and thought meet—where people are free to ask difficult questions, listen deeply to one another, and seek truth together in the light of the Gospel.
